Archos debuted its latest PMP lineup last month, although details on both specs and availability were scant. Today, the devices get a full feature list, along with exact UK availability.
Three media players are slated for the release, spearheaded by the flagship 3 Vision. Intended to compete directly with the iPod Touch, it features a 3-inch touchscreen LCD, 8GB of onboard storage and a microSDHC expansion slot. Beyond than the music talents, it touts video playback, an FM tuner, a voice recorder and a composite cable to connect to your TV.
The Archos 2 Vision, on the other hand, foregoes the video playback and sticks to musical talents. Details include a 1.8-inch touchscreen display, 16GB of storage, a voice recorder and an FM tuner. Last on the list is a no-frills 2GB Archos Clipper, which weighs a light 20 grams and is aimed squarely at the fitness crowd.
All three devices are scheduled for an August release. Pricing is £19.99 for the Archos Clipper, £49.99 for the Archos 2 Vision and £89.99 for the Archos 3 Vision.
